Working Title Assistant Director – Radio Station
Job Summary

Savannah State University seeks applications for Assistant Radio Station Director. This position supports and assists the station Director with general management of the radio station, including supervision and training of volunteer programmers. Performs general administrative and clerical duties; coordinates training programs for interns from Mass Communications department as well as all volunteers; acts as station manager in the absence of the Director. Performs regularly scheduled radio program as well as covering for volunteers. Serves as liaison between Broadcast Electronics and WHCJ concerning the Audio Vault system; supervises all student and volunteer staff. Researches, writes and manages grants for the radio station; assists with fundraising. Serves as WHCJ web master, social media content manager, and technical liaison for Broadcast Electronics. Coordinates Mass Communications internship program. Work includes being on call 24/7 as well as weekend and holidays as necessary. Employee may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description.

Minimum Qualifications

A college degree and minimum of five years of experience is required. Ability to be on call 24/7 and work weekends and holidays as necessary. Background and/or credit check may be required.
